About DFAM MICRO-SCHOOL

Shondrae’ D. Knight, MBA is a veteran educator and entrepreneur dedicated to serving students who need a smaller, more personalized learning environment. With a background in English, Secondary Education, and business leadership, she combines academic excellence with innovative thinking.

She founded DFAM Microschool in 2021 to support neurotypical and neurodiverse students who may struggle in traditional settings. Through individualized instruction and a nurturing, strengths-based approach, she helps students grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Her mission is to ensure that every child is seen, supported, and empowered to succeed.

Our Administrative Assistant plays a vital role in the daily operations of DFAM Micro-School. Admin supports communication between families, staff, and students while ensuring that administrative processes run smoothly. From coordinating schedules to assisting with enrollment and documentation, the Administrative Assistant helps maintain an organized and welcoming environment for our school community. 

Taryn Rice is the DFAM Math Lead. She has over 15 years of teaching and leadership experience. She oversees mathematics instruction and works closely with students to build strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Through personalized instruction, hands-on activities, and targeted support,she helps students strengthen their understanding of mathematical concepts while building confidence in their abilities.
