At DFAM Micro-School, we use a flexible, student-centered curriculum designed to meet each learner’s individual needs. Our program blends traditional instruction with hands-on learning, project-based experiences, and select computer-based tools to support mastery in every subject area.
Instruction is delivered through a variety of methods, including guided lessons, discussions, research, writing, and collaborative projects. This approach allows students to develop critical thinking skills while building confidence and independence in their learning.
Our small learning environment allows educators to modify pacing and instruction so students can progress as they master concepts. Students who demonstrate advanced understanding are encouraged to move ahead, while also supporting and collaborating with their peers—helping to build a strong and supportive learning community.
DFAM educators use a blended learning model that combines hands-on instruction with adaptive learning technology. This allows teachers to personalize lessons and provide targeted support across all subject areas.
Students are grouped strategically to ensure they receive the appropriate level of challenge and support. Our educators hold degrees in education and are committed to guiding students through individualized learning plans that promote both academic success and personal growth.
DFAM Micro-School maintains high academic expectations. Students are prepared for rigorous coursework and encouraged to pursue Honors and Dual Enrollment opportunities as they demonstrate readiness and mastery of subject material.
Thursdays at DFAM are designed to promote community building, leadership development, and real-world learning. Students participate in activities such as:
Occasionally, assessments, presentations, and collaborative projects may also take place on Thursdays.
DFAM Micro-School graduation requirements meet or exceed the minimum standards established by the State of Georgia. To ensure students are well prepared for college admission, our program includes additional coursework recommended by many four-year universities.
